 Foreign Trade Zone #167

The Port operates Foreign Trade Zone #167. Foreign and domestic merchandise and materials may be moved into FTZs for operations not otherwise prohibited by law, generally including storage, exhibition, assembly, manufacturing and processing. Within a FTZ typical customs and border patrol entry procedures and payments of duties are not required on foreign merchandise unless and until it exits the FTZ for domestic consumption.
